I wasn’t sure when I read the synopsis to this but it came highly recced and I gave it a shot and I;m glad I did. Hermione does a spell and gets seven dead husbands and not who you’d imagine. Brilliant level of characterization and is still ongoing.

I love this fic. Snape gets wise to Dumbledore and asks for what he wants- Hermione as a slave. Its funny and sad and silly and just freaking brilliant.
OOPS WRONG ONE! actually this fic is even more brilliant, its Hermione being a typical Gryff and signing a contract saying she'll do ANYTHING Snape asks in order to be his apprentice. Snape is not a nice man and Herms has growed up. This is awesome!

Ursa Major, Ursa Minor- Quicksilvermad- Jane/River
Cute fic, well rounded and long. Good use of Chinese and the vese.
Usually the titles come pretty early on in the fic for me and I do find them kind of easy to come up with-much to some friends annoyance and they are normally way easier than the fic itself.
When I'm writing the fic I get a sense of what I want the title to say about it and where I want it to go and amalgamate the two.
A few examples of this would be the Left Behind Universe. When I started writing it all I knew was that it was going to be an alternative fic where Max got left behind- hence the name. Then with each story I wanted to bring in the fight she had to press on and move ahead in her life and the titles just fell into place.
That story is also one of the only ones where each chapter had a title too, rather than a number. Those titles were fun to come up with and usually came about from something I was reading or listening to at the time that just gelled with the chapter. I think my favourite titles for those are: Dark Sarcasm, Propinquity and Driftwood and Too Early for Killing Princes.
WARNING- ALL of these fics will take up possibly weeks of your life to read. They are long, well written and completely addictive. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Reason for Life- Serade Black. Sirius/Hermione Time Turner.
I must have read this fic about ten times already. In it Hermione goes back in time to let Sirius know how much Harry needs him but ends up screwing with events that have a new slant now she’s in the time line. Beautifully written Sirius and one of my fave Harry Potter fics.
